The Barclay Badge

The Barclay Badge initiative is a challenge set to our Year 7,8 and 9 students. At Barclay we value not just what students do in the classroom but outside too.  They are challenged to complete 6 criteria in order to obtain the Barclay Badge:

  1. 95%+ Attendance
  2. 700 House points
  3. Extra Curricular
  4. Community Service
  5. Excellent ATL
  6. Character Value Award

Recognition
For every stage completed students will receive a certificate and the tracker will be updated.

If they meet all criteria by the deadline they will be invited to a celebration afternoon, receive certificates and a badge.  Tthey will also be entered into a super raffle for a rewards trip.

How can parents help

Many students will already be doing things that qualify for the community service element of the Barclay Badge; helping out with a younger sports team, completing litter picking in the local area, raising money for charity. Anything that means they are giving up their time to help others would count. All you would need to do is email their form tutor explaining what they have done.  If you would like to attach a photo too, we would love to share it on our social media pages.
