Barclay Academy

Year 12 Geography Trip

Year 12 students at Barclay Academy visited Southwold on the Suffolk coast in January.

Southwold is a charming seaside town on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, and was the perfect location for students to carry out fieldwork, applying their knowledge and learning on regeneration and coastal processes. Earlier in the year, students learned about the impact regeneration can have on a town and how the perception of success can vary based on socio-economic background and the wider lived experience of local people.
