Charlie & the Chocolate Factory
Forty key stage three students auditioned for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the beginning of term, and were successfully cast as either lead or ensemble roles. The performance is due to be performed in the summer term.
Five key stage three students have also volunteered as part of the Production Team, two key stage four and two key stage five students have stepped into the roles of Assistant Directors to help run rehearsals alongside staff.
The attendance at rehearsals has been excellent and the students should be incredibly proud of their attitudes towards developing their characters and their commitment towards learning their lines. They have made a very positive start to the rehearsal process and the play is already showing promise.
The Performing Arts Department are incredibly proud of the Barclay students involved and thanks to their resilience and dedication, productions like this are able to continue throughout the year to celebrate the Arts. A further announcement regarding a date of the production and how to get tickets will follow later in the year.
